Warm and soulful vocals, outstanding storytelling through a diverse genre but mostly in a catchy Afrobeats song. Music has been an unwinding childhood dream for Kelly and he is overly elated to share his music with the world. Full name, ( Kelly Ejela Emenako ) started out as a chorister in the church choir and wrote many songs and poems as an adolescent. He later join the local band and performed in many venues in eastern Nigeria, Lagos and Abuja. With repertoires ranging from Afro-beats, rhythm and blues, funk, pop and rock music. However, he left the boundaries of his native land in the mid 90's, for Cotonou in Benin Republic, where he joined the Akumamba Molongua Band, with whom he toured and performed in many venues across west Africa and Europe, before migrating to Quebec, Canada. He owns a recording studio ( Sous-Soul Studios ) in Montreal and designs/produces his music therein and that of a host of artists in the likes of Eric-In, Ny G, Blessing Umebali, Tunde De'Class etc. His music is multiple genre in nature and his influences hails from a number of factors, as he grew up with a father that kept an outstanding collection of jazz, classical and highlife music, a mother that listened to pop, funk, rock, reggae, folk and mainly circular genre of music and a society of traditional bongo ( percussive ) music and fanfare. He hopes to contribute tremendously to the local and international music scene and that his music affects his audience in the most positive and delightful manner possible.
